Summer is drawing to a close. Traffic is expected to increase with the annual return of the Snow-Birds. School has resumed. The Holiday Season will soon be upon us.

It is time to reflect on things we haven’t done, things we should be doing and things we should be thanking God and our fellow man for.

We have two Assembly events on the horizon:

On 8 NOV 25, our annual Veterans Dinner Dance. Another fun event that our US Military Vets attend for Free with their advance reservation. The cost to non-Vets is $35 per person includes dinner and entertainment. As a follow-up we will award attending Vets with a Free Turkey voucher from Winn-Dixie for Thanksgiving.

On 13 DEC 25, the Assembly will hold a “Black-Tie” Christmas Party at the Boca Dunes Country Club. Yes, it is a formal affair. $100 per person includes dinner, entertainment and open bar during cocktail hour. Seating is currently limited to around 125. Menus and other details forthcoming.

Committees for both of these events have been formed and preliminary planning has begun.

You are encouraged to join us. It promises to be a great time for you and your invited guests.

For those looking for an excuse to visit the Bahamas, there is a 4th Degree Exemplification planned for 26 JAN 2026 in the Bahamas. I wouldn’t count on “Bahama shorts being optional” during the exemplification.

We are in need of additional members for our Honor Guard. Most are the same “Grey-Beards” we always have. I urge you to consider joining our ranks. I would like to see at least 6 from each council. This would ensure a full compliment at any Council/Church event where an Honor Guard is requested.

Finally, if possible, please provide a copy of Council Calendars for the next fiscal year and timely updates. These would be useful to all. It would go a long way to minimize Council and Assembly scheduling event conflicts with overlapping dates and times. Special thanks to St Joan of Arc and St Jude.
